I have inserted auto-text in Kutools (Word 2013) under different categories, but neither the categories nor the auto-text headings (names) are in alphabetic order. How can I make them sort alphabetically?

Unfortunately, you can't sort them alphabetically because there is no option for this purpose. The program will sort them in the entry order. Kutools for Word allows you only to import/export the items, insert normal/formatted text, insert selections or to grow or shrink the font:
